Who we are
Salience is made by Jordan Hindo, operating as Latent Sea (a sole proprietor based in California, USA). You can reach us at hello@latentsea.io.
What we collect, and why
We try to collect as little as possible.
- Waitlist / email you give us. If you join the waitlist or contact us, we store your email address to send product news and cohort invites. Email is handled through our email provider, Loops.
- Purchase and license information. When you buy Salience, checkout is handled by Stripe Managed Payments, which acts as merchant of record for the transaction. Stripe processes your name, email, and payment/billing details to complete the sale and handle taxes. We receive your checkout email, what you bought, and a Stripe Checkout Session identifier. We store the license key issued for that purchase, license status, and hashed machine identifiers used to enforce and reset activation limits. We use these records to deliver, recover, activate, refund, and support your license. We never see or store your full card number.
- Feedback and app signals. If you use the in-app Feedback button, we receive the message you write, any reply email you choose to include, the app version, platform, and whether you are using the standalone app or plugin. Salience also sends limited first-party operational events, such as an app launch, with app version/platform context. These records can include a user-agent string, coarse country, and receipt time. We do not attach your projects, prompts, or audio to feedback or operational events.
- Website. The site currently runs no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Standard server logs may exist at our hosting provider.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where your data goes (our processors)
- Stripe Managed Payments, payments, billing, and tax (merchant of record).
- Loops, waitlist and transactional email, license-key delivery, and forwarding feedback you choose to submit.
- Cloudflare / R2, hosting downloads and Style files and storing license, activation, feedback, and operational-event records.
- The AI models run entirely on your own computer. Your prompts and generated audio are not sent to us or to any model provider during normal use.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your data any time at hello@latentsea.io.
Retention, security, children, changes
- We keep purchase, license, and activation records as needed to deliver the license, provide support, handle refunds, prevent abuse, and meet tax or legal obligations. We keep feedback and operational records as needed to support and improve Salience. Marketing emails remain until you unsubscribe.
- We take reasonable measures to protect your data but no system is perfectly secure.
- Salience is not for children; you must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to buy.
- We'll post changes to this policy here and update the date above.
