Save and reopen a Board
Salience keeps your pad kits as Boards, inside a project snapshot. Saving your snapshot and exporting a Board are two different things. Every sound you keep in Make a sound becomes part of a Board.
Check your save state
The top bar shows Saved or Unsaved. Salience autosaves after most edits.
The first failure just needs a retry. If the exact same save keeps failing, send feedback from the ? menu with the error text. Your in-memory Board is never lost just because a save attempt failed.
Switch or start a Board
Open Collection, click a Board, or click New Board.
Reopening after you quit
Your project snapshot loads automatically: Boards, Library, Styles, last active Board. Missing audio files get flagged.
Export a Board
Click Export, choose a folder. Salience copies the Board's JSON file and pad audio there, separate from the automatic snapshot.
VST3 in a DAW
Hosted plugins don't write Salience's snapshot file; your Board, pads, and Library for that session live inside the DAW project. Save the DAW project to keep your state. More on running Salience this way in Use in your DAW.
