Updates

Salience checks for updates, downloads, and verifies them automatically in the background. A small banner tracks progress; once staged, you get one step: restart to install.

Critical updates

Save your work, then restart. Critical updates get a more urgent banner on purpose, but the step is the same.

As a VST3 plugin

Your DAW keeps the plugin loaded, so an update can't apply itself while running inside it. Quit the DAW, open Salience Standalone once to let it install, then reopen your DAW. See Use in your DAW for everything else about running Salience there.

If a staged update fails

Salience says so plainly and offers two options: retry, or keep using your current version for now. Your project and license are unaffected. Keeps failing? See Get help and send feedback.
