Repair and setup issues

Salience checks its local sound-generation files are all present before it lets you generate.

If a file is missing or a check fails, you get a fix-first screen with two real options: pick the install folder again (fast, no re-download if the files are actually there), or reinstall. Neither touches your Boards, Pads, Sounds, or Styles. Reinstalling repeats the same one-time step covered in The one-time download.

Interrupted download

If your connection drops during download, keep the setup window open if you can; you jump right back in. If the check afterward fails, reopen setup and retry. Your project is untouched the whole time.

A generation run failed

A failed take only affects that one attempt. Your Board, Pads, and saved Styles are not touched.

Same error keeps happening

Try the suggested fix once. If it fails the same way again, choose Send feedback from the ? menu and include the error message; it isn't attached automatically. More on that in Get help and send feedback.
