Use Salience as a VST3 plugin

Standalone app or VST3 plugin.

Install paths

Mac: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Salience.vst3. Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Salience.vst3\. If it doesn't show up, rescan plugins in your host.

What's different from standalone

• Project saves with the DAW project, not a Salience snapshot file, see Boards and pads for how that works outside a DAW
• Tempo/key chip displays your host's settings; it's not clickable
• Your host owns audio I/O

After an update

Mac: quit your DAW, open Salience Standalone once, then reopen your DAW. Windows: fully quit and reopen your DAW. Same idea as any other update, see Updates for the full picture.
